Cake Zine is an independent print magazine exploring history, pop culture, literature, and art through sweets. Cake Zine’s residency on The Shelf coincided with the launch of their 4th issue, Tough Cookie. On the evening of December 7th, Felicity Spector read her piece on the resilience of local bakeries in Odesa, Ukraine, and the comfort of baked goods in the face of unthinkable tragedy. Spector was joined in conversation by Aliza Rae, co-founder of Cake Zine.
