Since it opened in 2019, Maximillian William’s programme has nurtured a range of dialogues across generations and disciplines, developing relationships with artists both early-career and established, as well as with estates. Working closely with its roster of artists, and collaboratively with colleagues from across the world, the gallery has created a varied programme of exhibitions and events, fostering a community of voices that attend to the social and cultural issues of our time.
A commitment to publishing expands the programme beyond exhibitions, as well as a regular series of talks. In 2023, the gallery launched The Shelf, an events and bookshelf programme that shares space and conversation with independent publishers.
The gallery has placed work in renowned public collections, including the British Museum, London; Los Angeles County Museum of Art; Hammer Museum, Los Angeles; Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam; Arts Council Collection, London; Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh; ICA Miami; Maison Européene de la Photographie, Paris; Huis Marseille, Amsterdam; and Colección Jumex, Mexico City.
We regret that the gallery is currently unable to accept unsolicited artists' submissions.
