Emii Alrai: Déjà Vu

Emii Alrai is among the new site-specific visual arts commissions for Bold Tendencies' 19th Artistic Programme, Déjà Vu.
Déjà Vu elicits a deeper, more compulsive sense of the real and our place within it, and is of particular pertinence in our current climate – a global stage upon which social, political and cultural trends and happenings are recurring in abundance. Speaking to a world of long-forgotten dreams, untold stories and future premonitions, the programme will explore the surreal and sublime; the fantastical, transcendental and extraordinary; asking how the uncanny principles of déjà vu resonate with us today.
The commission will be shown alongside a programme of music, dance, opera, poetry & readings and summer-long Creative Learning initiatives.
