Somaya Critchlow: Present Generations

Opening 25 June 2021, Somaya Critchlow will exhibit her work in Present Generations, curated by Tyler Cann at the Columbus Museum of Art, Ohio. The exhibition brings together work by the 27 artists who feature in the first wave of gifts that will inaugurate the Columbus Museum of Art’s Scantland Collection, given by Pete Scantland and the Scantland Family.

At once exuberant and powerful, the paintings, photographic, and sculptural works in the show grapple with questions of visibility, identity, and other pressing social concerns. The exhibition will run from 25 June 2021 – 22 May 2022 and features work from Jonathan Lyndon Chase, Jadé Fadojutimi and Deana Lawson.
