Coco Capitán’s series of twenty photographs Where did the lost sailor get lost? has been acquired by Huis Marseille, Museum for Photography, Amsterdam.

The series spans a decade of Capitán’s practice, centering on the origins of her Lost Sailor obsession. With subjects ranging from ships to sunsets, landscapes to interiors and friends, or Lost Sailors, – the series oscillates between moments of adventure and escapism while capturing the emotion of desire for a journey on pause.
